Once upon a time in Africa, I went to my first Art Class aged 3….

Delight in the process of putting colour on canvas with broad and free brushstrokes – glorious fun!

Time moved on and so did I – to live in England where the endless obsession of adorning our homes is in a league of its own. Needless to say, I’d found my place in the world.

The visceral thrill of endless colours to be played with in oil paint eventually translated into using interiors as a form of canvas.

And so Beltaine Designs was born. That was 30 years ago

Now there were walls to adorn with paints, wallpapers, lights, art works and the fabrics – oh my! Such joy to be found in dressing windows and furniture. Always led by love of colour, light and the sensual touch of cloth – my work is my love.

Everyday at Beltaine Designs is different as is every project. It is fascinating to embark on the design journey side by side with my clients – getting to the heart of what each truly wants and then making it all happen with an instinctive design-led approach coupled with strong organisation skills, patience and humour.
